Gathered at the Atrium in the Ronald Reagan Building on the evening of Oct. 30, 2004 , for a gala affair with more than 300 attendees, Richard Bennett paid tribute to ASD’s exceptional employees, loyal customers, and outstanding strategic business partners. He pledged to carry on his philosophy of “continuously growing the business by building a highly trained workforce supported by a solid corporate infrastructure, while at the same time retaining the flexibility and nimbleness of a small business”. He mentioned he was proud that ASD had successfully teamed with Perot Systems Government Services to attain a Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Level II rating on Oct. 22, 2004 , and he thought this a fitting anniversary present for the whole company. He went on to say “ASD is poised to catapult into the forefront of the IT field, by expanding our business in current and new geographical markets, particularly focusing on targets of opportunity in defense organizations involved in missile defense, test and evaluation, intelligence, and joint warfighter operations.”
