Job Description
This individual will be responsible for planning and managing the delivery of IT systems and infrastructure solutions and associated technical support services in support of business objectives. This includes systems and project planning, estimating, execution, implementation, risk management, closeout, and introduction of project deliverables into a production environment. The individual will work closely with the functional business groups to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of systems solutions deployed in support of business goals and objectives.
Tasks
- Develops an effective plan for controlling the project scope, schedule, and cost baseline, and monitors the project execution to ensure that the plan is being followed. Creates and effectively coordinates documentation to capture changes to the baseline, completion of tasks, and achievement of milestones.
- Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities.
- Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
- Reviews deliverables prepared by team before passing to client.
- Effectively applies MDA methodology and enforces project standards.
- Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.
- Identifies and mitigates risk on project.
- Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
- Holds regular status meetings with project team.
- Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations.
- Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.
- Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
- Maintains awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential application on client engagements.
- Manages the process of innovative change effectively.
- Remains on the forefront of emerging industry practices.
- Keeps track of lessons learned and shares those lessons with team members.
- Mitigates team conflict and communication problems.
- Plans and facilitates regular team activities outside of the office.
- Manages day-to-day client interaction.
- Sets and manages client expectations.
- Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions.
- Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
- Builds a knowledge base of each client's business, organization and objectives.

- Possesses a thorough understanding of MDA and/or DoD standards.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in
MIS, Computer Science, or equivalent is desired.
PMP certification a plus.
