Help Desk Analyst, Mid

Location: Huntsville, AL

Job Description

The selected individuals will be responsible for supporting internal users in the installation, and upgrading of desktop computers.  Provides technical assistance and training to system users, inspect computer equipment and analyze user requirements to prepare computer for delivery to customer.  Individuals will be responsible to load specified software packages, answer customer inquiries concerning computer systems operations, diagnose system hardware/software operation problems, and recommend or perform minor remedial actions to correct problems based on knowledge of system operation.  Required experience includes in-depth knowledge maintaining desktop computers, printers, and peripheral hardware/software; in-depth knowledge and experience supporting the Microsoft XP operating system; in-depth knowledge and experience supporting Microsoft Office Suite of products; knowledge and understanding of network services including DNS, DHCP, WINS, SUS/WUS; knowledge and understanding of networking technologies including TCP/IP subnetting, IP addressing.

Education

BS in CS, Math, or equivalent 4 or more years of experience.

Certified Helpdesk Technician and/or MCP, A+, Net+, Security+ certifications are desired.
