In 1979, the 400 and 800 Atari
computer was introduced to the market with IBM introducing its first
personal computer in August 1981. At that time, most personal computers
had a 8-bit processor; whereas, the IBM PC had a 16-bit processor.
The PC Market was dominated by unfamiliar names like Radio Shack
1, Commodore PET Apple II, Kapro, Osborne, Heathkit, and MITS Altair
8800. Many things have changed in the last 23 years, but one thing
has stayed the same - Advanced Systems Development, Inc. (ASD) has
delivered superior life cycle information technology support to
its clients in government and private industry.
Originally founded in 1979, ASD is a private company
with corporate headquarters in Arlington, Virginia. With a foundation
in desktop support, we have built our practice gradually, now offering
an integrated approach to enterprise-wide system support. Now 193
employees strong, we have the experience and expertise to meet any
major IT support need of our customers.
Technology firms come and go. But under the leadership
of Richard L. Bennett, ASD's founder and president, ASD has demonstrated
a long-term vision and commitment to quality that has enabled us
to thrive amid the rapidly changing IT landscape. Along the way,
we have assembled a top-notch staff of IT specialists, a roster
of key corporate partners and a sought-after client base.
