ASD employs a full spectrum of Federal and Department of Defense (DoD) best practices in order to ensure that our contract performance meets the highest standards and always strives to help achieve the various government’s reform agendas.

A partial list of Federal/DoD best practices include:

  • Use of Balanced Scorecard to help our customers establish a performance management system that aligns their IT balanced scorecard, including IT plans and goals, with business objectives and to establish of measures of IT effectiveness for improving performance of technology and the achievement of balanced results across stakeholder groups.
  • Active participation in expanding e-Government initiatives to improve service delivery for the American people using Information Technology.
  • Deployment of the Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA)/DoD Architecture Framework (FEA/DoDAF) reference modes to help our customers implement the US Office of Management and Budget’s requirements to comply with the Clinger-Cohen Act and provide a common methodology for IT acquisition in the United States federal government.
  • Capital Investment Planning/IT Portfolio Management to assist our customers in developing IT Portfolio business cases (OMB Exhibits 300) and in using project management tools as necessary to provide project work breakdown structure, schedule, and resource development and management; project and program performance measures development and tracking, including Earned Value reporting and Integrated Baseline Reviews on an as needed basis. Our support includes preparation of all documentation required by OMB for the Exhibits 300.
  • Service Level Agreements developed in full cooperation with our customers to ensure that there service performance objectives are continuously met.
  • Interactive Management Dashboards to provide our customers with real-time contract and task order status related to schedule, cost, and performance.
  • Centers of Excellence – ASD uses a revolving council of industry experts to support our centers of excellence. The current categories supported include Information Assurance, IT Management Services, Net-centric Solutions, Federal Enterprise Architecture/Department of Defense Architecture Framework (FEA)/(DoDAF), Business Process Reengineering, Knowledge Management, Government-wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) Business Development, and Lean Six Sigma.

ASD offers a Conference Center Support facility located at our Herndon, VA office. We are accustomed to facilitating customer focus meetings (one to three days) for sessions of up to 100 people. Our approach uses a “total service” customer reference model built around extraordinary business relationships and a well orchestrated customer outreach program all aimed at achieving customer excellence.
